First Grade Visual Arts: MET House Vases
As part of our Panamanian November celebrations, we created personalized vase drawings inspired in the original per-columbian MET house designs. We took these drawings home to share with our parents and siblings.
Matisse: Paper Cut-Outs, Painting with Scissors
For our new art inquiry first grade has been exploring the life and work of French artist Henri Matisse. We have focused on his paper cut-outs to learn about geometric and organic shapes. At the moment we are sketching our ideas while we develop lines of inquiry for this art unit.
