 Juana was born in Madrid, Spain. She began her music studies as a child. After obtaining her degree as Superior Professor of Piano at the Conservatorio Superior in Madrid, she continued her piano and pedagogy studies in Madrid, Barcelona, Lyon, Paris, and Vancouver. Juana also has a great passion for Literature: she has obtained a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Hispanic Literature at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid and continued her studies at the Instituto Cervantes of New York. Juana also pursued studies in Educational Psychology and Psychopathology at the UNED, Madrid. In 2001 Juana moved to New York where she obtained a Master’s Degree in Music Education at New York University and for nine years established a successful piano studio in Manhattan. Juana is also a certified teacher in Suzuki Piano (European Suzuki Association), Kodaly (NYU) and Orff (Vancouver University).
As a pianist, Juana has played chamber music in Europe and the USA. Since her arrival in Panama in 2010, she has performed at the Ateneo, ATLAPA, the University of Panama, GECU, the Anita Villalaz Theater, Parlamento Latinoamericano, and the National Theater.
