First Grade Visual Arts: Line, Shape and Color with Joan Miró
First grade is learning about how to use lines, colors and shapes to tell stories in an abstract style. They are exploring the difference between "realistic" and "abstract", the connection between music patterns and visual patterns and how to choose color to express a mood.We are inquiring into the life and work of Spanish painter Joan Miró and the way he used lines and shapes to tell stories in his paintings.
