Introducing Impressionist Painting in Fifth Grade

In Visual Arts, we have been learning about French impressionist painter Berthe Morisot.
Students have been conducting independent research to find paintings of hers that draw their attention.

We have been perusing each other's research to find recurring topics as well as exploring the impressionist style.

Students created color charts as an introduction to painting, learning how to control intensity, tint, and shade.  We are starting our first impressionists paintings, too!
