Learning about Friendship

To start off the school year, the Kinder students have been learning about friendships and asking the questions: How do friendships start? What makes a good friend? What do I like to do with my friends? Here are some of the answers the Kinder classes came up with.....

We also read a story about a dinosaur named Dooley that really wanted to make friends but wasn't sure if he would fit in with the children that he would watch playing in the valley where he lived. 

Once we finished reading "Dooley Makes Friends", we did an improvisation where we re-enacted the activities that the kids and Dooley took part in together as they got to know each other and their friendship grew.....
